The Altone Local Area Plan identified there are limited opportunities for the City to acquire additional public open space within Altone Place and significant investment in existing public open spaces was required to meet the needs of the existing community. In September 2021, Council requested a report on the feasibility of installing an All Ages/All Abilities Play Space in Beechboro. Following the feasibility study, Council resolved to select Hull Park as the location for the proposed play space.
An All Abilities Play Space is a play space that considers a range of differing user abilities, including sensory, social and accessibility support needs.
Hull Park is centrally located within Beechboro. It has existing shade, car park and toilet facilities supported by the adjacent Brockman Community Centre.
