The pump track is being installed on Kingfisher Oval, near the car park on Illawarra Crescent South.
The design advertised is now finalised. Construction will commence in May 2024.
Community consultation was completed late last year regarding the location of the pump track at Enderby Park in Ballajura. Feedback from the community was strongly advised against this location. Due to the nature of Kingfisher Oval and the number of activities already performed there, the City believes this would be a far better option. Properties are not as close to the oval and the park is already well used by the community.
A pump track is similar to a BMX track but is designed with a soft material that enables riders to 'pump' through the track in a continuous movement maintaining momentum.
