Project Background
Volunteering is both the beating heart and the backbone of so many community services, charities and not-for-profits operating within the City of Swan. We recognise that acknowledgment of volunteers and the work they do is an essential part to engage and retain individuals along their personal volunteer journey. It is also essential part of managing volunteer programs over time.
Many people volunteer for many reasons and so this in turn means people may want to be supported and recognised in different ways.
As a local government, we have a desire to provide meaningful, inclusive and creative ways to respect, recognise and reward volunteers. We are asking community and stakeholders how we can continually improve in this space, particularly to increase participation of City-funded volunteer recognition events.
